Stacie and Devin Orvin
We got to see our first great granddaughter, Kennedy, again at the graduation. What a doll!
Saturday morning we went to Brittany and Nick's home in Salt Lake to meet for the first time our second great granddaughter, Avery. She is such a beautiful baby!
It was a thrill to hold her for the first time.
Brittany and Nick have done an outstanding job decorating and furnishing two nurseries for her, in Salt Lake and Logan. This is her Salt Lake one.
After a great visit at Britt and Nick's we were off to a wedding reception, and what a wonderful surprize that was! The bride is the daughter of Steve Christiansen. He was the Stake President whom requested senior missionaries in the Appleton Stake in Wisconsin. Little did he know that he would be sent his father's second half cousin and his wife, Neil and Wendy Christiansen. We were so happy that people we love from Neenah, Wisconsin were there at the reception.
I had a great time visiting with members of the Neenah, Wisconsin Ward: Pam Price, Lillian Chai Tolman, and Mae Chai.
Neil had a good visit with his second cousin, Richard (Dick) Christiansen.
Bride, Kaylynn Christiansen Witt with her mother, Suzanne Christiansen.
I had another treat Saturday afternoon to meet with my siblings, Sue, Ellen, Marged, Allyson and her family and Kay (Owen was at Scout camp) to visit with my father's sister, Ellie whom is recovering from a broken pelvis. Aunt Ellie is such an upbeat cheerful lady, now in her 90's.
Back row: Kay Ashton, Ellen Ashton VanOrman Front row: Susan Ashton, Allyson Ashton Chard, Heather Chard, Marged Ashton Kirkpatrick, Danielle Chard, Alyssa Chard, Eleanor
Ashton Badger, Wendy Ashton Christiansen. Photographer, Dan Chard.
Things I missed out on this weekend, darn! Jake taking first at the Logan Rodeo. Skyler winning his laCrosse games (he was on channel 5 news Saturday, at his game honoring Blake Stebel) Josh winning his laCrosse game, Ashlynne winning her soccer game. Chandler's volleyball games and who knows what else! So many things to do, so little time!
Now all this is the good part of my weekend, the bad is just beginning as I start taking my prep for a colonoscopy tomorrow, yuck!!!
The End!!!
P.S.
Sooooo, the colonoscopy was no big deal, the doctor said I have the colon of a 20 year old - WHY can't the rest of my body be like a 20 year old?!!!!!
